As I approach 40 this year, I’ve realized how much I’ve really started to embrace my unique qualities and honor my body where it is RIGHT NOW. Getting myself in front of the camera has become a priority to me, and the amazing thing I’ve realized is, as I’ve taken the time to photograph myself and be photographed by others, it has made me feel so much more at home in my body. I want to give this gift to people 40 and over.

So often we treat our bodies natural aging process as a negative thing, instead of honoring and celebrating our resilience and the gift that growing older is. I want us ALL to be able to own our bodies and where they are; this is such an empowering experience and honestly who doesn’t want to feel empowered? My goal is for you to leave this experience feeling fresh, vibrant, and empowered because we’ve done the hard work of figuring out who we are in our 20s, 30s, and now we’ve entered into our 40s and beyond. You know who you are. Owning it is the part where some of us falter. Let’s start a conversation around the beauty of gaining and let’s change the way the world sees us and moreover the way we see ourselves.

This campaign will feature people of all backgrounds in their 40’s, 50’s and beyond. My goal is to make each human in front of my camera feel seen, heard, and empowered. This project is for you to show your confidence, your beauty, and your personality. I want YOU to see yourself like others do. Let’s tell your story and in the process feel and embody your light within.

This campaign is a base rate of $750, which gets you a full studio session experience with complimentary hair and makeup and a credit of $450 to use toward images, products, or a package. I will link my a la carte prices below!

what’s the process like?

Consultation

Once you book your session, we’ll have a phone or video call where we can discuss what you’d like to get out of your session. We can cover outfits, backdrops, and overall vibes that you’d like. It’s also just a chance for us to get to know each other! We’ll also discuss if you’d like to choose to be professionally styled by The Black Scintilla

Hair and makeup

After our consult, I’ll get your hair and makeup artist booked. All you have to do is show up to your session fresh faced and ready to go! This will start at 9:30am day of your session.

Interview

You will be interviewed by me both before and after your project to see where you are and where you want to be.

Session time

Once you’re all dolled up and ready to go, we’ll start shooting. We spend about 20 minutes shooting per outfit, but we typically end up shooting for 1-2 hours. I want you to have a good selection for when you choose your images!

Gallery exhibit

You will be invited to attend a gallery exhibit where your portrait and story will be on display. I want you to be celebrated for the bad ass that you are. You’ll be displayed with all the other amazing humans that join the project!

Pick your products

Once the session is over and you’re back in your comfy clothes, we’ll take some time looking over your images and product options. You will have a $450 credit which can be used toward digital images, prints, a package, etc. The choice is all yours!

Dressin Down

I’m thinking cozy casual. Maybe some ripped jeans, a tank top with an oversized button down on top.

Everyday set

What do you wear to go out for drinks with a friend, to run errands, or a Saturday out on the town kind of outfit. A nice blouse, your favorite pants, whatever makes you feel comfortable but also makes you feel like YOU.

Sexy af

Want to add a little boudoir to your session? This is the outfit for that. Could be lingerie, a bodysuit, some loose sheets draped around you. If you aren’t comfortable with nudity but want to do something with sheets, make sure to bring a nude underwear set.

Glammed out

It’s a black tie affair darling. Think big flowy gown, a tux or a tailored suit. This is your very own met gala and you will look LUXURIOUS.

business professional

This is for the person who wants to kill two birds with one stone and get some professional headshots to take home. Fitted suit, maybe little pops of color, no busy patterns.
