Fall Rocky Mountain National Park Elopement | Gorgeous Brides with Mountain Vistas | LGBTQ+ Wedding + Elopement Photographer
Nikki + Rachael approached me early on in their wedding planning to shoot their wedding. They were planning a more traditional ceremony in Oklahoma. After booking me as their wedding photographer which I was elated about, they called me up and said, “There’s been a change of plans. We’ve decided to elope in Colorado, Can you still be our wedding photographer?” and of course I said YES!
Their wedding was more than a dream. They’re both gorgeous ladies and funny enough in my first year of teaching 10 years ago I actually had Nikki as one of my students. It’s one of the little perks of being in the classroom. We met up for dinner and started planning their beautiful dream wedding in Colorado.
We decided to do a sunrise first look on Lake Lilly in RMNP since we had cabins in Estes Park. IT. WAS. AMAZING. and cold. BUT AMAZING! After our sunrise first look these gals hightailed it back to their cabin and got ready with some of the best people surrounding them. Their ceremony was back in Boulder, Co on the historic Chautauqua Park Lawn overlooking the Flat Irons.
To me the best part of the day was that beautiful sunrise first look where they read their vows to one another on Lily Lake. The fog was lifting off the water as the sun started to peak over the mountains surrounding them. This small intimate moment between two brides had me in tears. FYI I WILL CRY AT YOUR WEDDING.
So many great vendors worked on this beautiful elopement to make these two’s special day AMAZING!
